Starting therapy is a significant step towards personal growth. This page is designed to offer clarity and ease any concerns as you begin your seasons of change.

What is counselling?

Counselling is a confidential, collaborative process where you work with a trained professional to explore challenges, gain insight, and develop coping strategies to improve your wellbeing.

Do I need to have a serious problem to start counselling?

Not at all. Many people seek counselling for personal growth, clarity, and support during stressful periods.

How long does each session last?

What is the cancellation policy?

I require 48 hours’ notice to cancel or re-arrange a session. Any less the this and the session may be charged at 50%

What qualifications do you have?

I am qualified Level 5 integrative counsellor.

Do you offer online sessions?

Currently all my work is delivered online.

How can counselling help me?

Counselling can help with anxiety, depression, stress, relationship issues, grief, trauma, self-esteem, life transitions, and more. It provides a safe space to explore thoughts and feelings without judgment.

What happens in the first session?

The first session focuses on understanding your concerns, goals, and background. It’s also an opportunity for you to see if I am a good fit for you and your needs.

How many sessions will I need?

This varies depending on your goals and circumstances. Some clients attend short-term therapy (6–12 sessions), while others prefer longer-term support.

Is counselling confidential?

Yes. Sessions are confidential, with a few legal exceptions (e.g., risk of harm to yourself or others, safeguarding concerns, court orders, unsafe illegal activity and terrorism concerns)

How much do sessions cost?

A one hour session is £65 payable via a payment link once the session has been confirmed and booked.

How do I make initial contact?

Email or message me first and I can arrange a convenient time to offer a free consultation call or video call for you to ask questions before committing to counselling. This Usually lasts between 15-30 minutes with no obligation or pressure to commit. If you would like to book an initial session I will email a client agreement and an assessment form which will need to be read and signed before our first session.
